With so many social media services out there, it can be tough to keep up with all of them. MultiMi will let you keep up to date with the most popular social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and Linkedin. It even integrates your email, Gmail, and Yahoo! accounts into the application so that all of your messages show up in a unified inbox.
MultiMi will even let you combine all of your social networking chat services for one master chat list. Chatting worked well, but there was no way to resize the window and the chat list showed some contacts as random hashes.
MultiMi also aggregates all of your media and documents but it does so half-heartedly. Documents are listed by date saved and there's no easy way to organize or edit the files, though it is a good way to find and send recently created files. We were glad to see that the latest beta has support for lossless codecs like FLAC and ALAC. Though MultiMi plays media files, it will not replace your default media player like iTunes as it has no way to organize your music nor does it read out album art.
In use, MultiMi proved to be pretty stable for a beta program but some features still need work. MultiMi's inbox is confusing to look at because the current email message isn't highlighted in the pane. Hovering over different sections also caused items to shift around because navigation arrows appear at the top and bottom, shifting the position of the list.
Overall, MultiMi is an good way to aggregate all of your social networks and email accounts. We only wish some of its features were more fleshed out.
MultiMi supports the following formats
Hotmail, Exchange, Gmail, Yahoo!, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google Calendar, Picasa, Flickr, YouTube, box.net, Google Docs, Facebook Chat, Google Talk
